Summary
The war is over. Everyone has found their place in the Universe. Hunk and Pidge are working on cool projects to help the Blades and Garrison explore and help various races throughout the galaxies, Allura and Coran are building New Altea, and Keith is working with the Blades to restore balance to planets still infested with Galra rebels. But one year after they've ended the fight against the tyranical empire, Lance goes missing. With a gut instinct guiding him, Keith heads into the desert to his forgotten shack—an old hideout where Lance once joked he could escape everything. Together they brave the realities of their new lives and help each other realize they are not their traumas.
Aka a little fix it fic with all the gays and plenty of hurt and comfort because this shit got heavy for a kids show.

*Rewrite of Season 7: Ep 6 The Journey Within (the traumatizing one where they get ejected into space)*
Things haven't been the same since Keith returned to the team. The Castle of Lions is gone, the Paladins can't recharge their Lions properly, and Team Voltron is stuck flying through empty space for the next year and a half. Lance doesn't see how things could possibly get worse, but somehow, the universe finds a way to manage.

Summary
Keith could not believe what he was hearing. For all the years he had lived with these people and fought alongside them he had thought he could predict their actions pretty well at this point; their counters and parry’s, their frustrations and elations, their late-night snack schedules. This, he had not seen coming. This made him question if he really did know Lance and Allura as well as he’d thought.
None of it made sense, all the years of failed pining, all the jokes, all the glances and blushes that made Keith’s heart ache and made him question his sanity. All for it to end like this?
He ran his fingers through his hair.
Why in the world had Lance broken up with Allura?
