Summary
Aziraphale liked his body. He liked the shape of it, the way it moved and touched the world, a type of sensory feedback that made him understand the shape and extent of his corporation. Like he wasn’t just an ephemeral vessel. Like he was flesh.
Or: Aziraphale gets a tattoo. Crowley is an accessory to this crime against good sense. Everyone’s kinks are very poorly disguised.

Summary
This is Crowley’s problem— he’s always been too damn curious for his own good. Once he gets an idea in his head, something stupid and dangerous like What if I teamed up with an angel to stop Armageddon? or How fast can I go in this massive car down Oxford Street? he simply cannot let it go until he sees it through to the other end.
So now, as he probes at that secret place inside the long hallway of his heart, the dark door behind which he’s stowed over a thousand of years of pent-up longing, the question he knows he wouldn’t be able to rest until he answers is: What if I let myself feel it all?

This remarkable letter of unknown provenance surfaced recently in the cuneiform collection of the University of West Wessex. Addressed to Azirapil from a Mr. “Crawly,” it appears to be begging for the other’s return to Ur from a western journey with another individual, Abiraham. The relationship between the two (brothers? business partners? friends?) is unknown.

Ninth Circle Ink was hardly more than a stone’s throw from the flower shop; Aziraphale knew from past experience that it took less than thirty seconds to go from door to door (forty-five if you had to wait for a car to pass). It had been a perfect arrangement in the beginning, when they were just starting out.

Neither had Lucifer, apparently, because according to Beelzebub (who passed the idea along, endlessly suited to being a middle-man despite not being a man of any description) it was Crawly’s job and Crawly’s job alone.
Get up there and find whoever’s causing trouble.

He thinks about the fish he watched dart along the length of the hull and the candy floss pink clouds framing the setting sun. He tries to remember what it was like to see the world as a wonderful thing to explore instead of a gray box he lives in.

"What shall we toast?" he asks, and it echoes down the ages, a smooth, sliding spiral that comes around and around, but never quite in the same place.
Aziraphale smiles fondly. "To us."
Crowley only hesitates a moment, because it's been hard to wait, but Aziraphale all but promised him this moment was coming the night he handed over the holy water. There are spirals here, too.

I intend to make the absolute most of my newfound freedom.” Aziraphale blinks, and Crowley could swear he saw something wicked surface and disappear in those pale blue eyes of his. “Dearest, you can close your mouth now. You look quite like a fish out of water.”
Crowley does close his mouth. “I—you—I just—I was not expecting you to agree so quickly.”
Aziraphale steps closer to him, putting a hand on his cheek. “Why would I ever deny you something you want?” Crowley decides to be gracious and not point out Aziraphale has a long history of doing exactly that. But that was before. This is now.

Summary
Aziraphale susses out Crowley's pre-Fall identity, as the Archangel Raphael. With this, he must rethink everything he thought he knew about the last six thousand years, about his own identity and his friend's, and even the Ineffable Plan. There is a fight, expressions of fear and hurt, reconciliation, yearning and confusion, and the sorts of questions that by all rights should cause an angel to Fall.
Also, at one point, Crowley admits he once lied about breeding rats for demonic ends.

Imagine what it would be like, to be a Fallen Archangel. It’s easy enough to imagine Lucifer, that showboat, that teapot dictator, the big oaf. But not him. Imagine being an Archangel who did not mean to Fall, who was surprised by it, who wanted none of it.
Imagine the first time you see Lucifer-that-was afterwards, how he calls you to his throne room like a brother, and how you have to choke down a laugh. That desperate imitation, that aping of Authority, the petulant toddler playing dress-up as Mommy. Imagine this fool claps you on the back, presumes to anoint you, and now you see how deeply you must hide.
