Summary
George has been surfing all his life, partaking in competitions semi-regularly. Dream moved from Orlando to Miami recently, to get away from his family. He now lives in a small apartment and since there isn’t a lot of space, he is at the beach often. The beach is now taking up a broader portion of his life, as it is in George’s. Dream watches George surf and gets a little crush on him. Since his family treated him poorly, he has abandonment issues and hangs around the beach 24/7 to see George as often as possible but never has the courage to talk to him and let him in too close.
or: In a world, where soulmates exist and can find each other through their matching tattoos, Dream is keen on keeping his tattoo hidden at all times, to not make himself depend on one person. While surfing, George is not afraid to show his body and therefore shows his tattoo openly, because he is also proud of his lifestyle.

Fantasies of the future had always been more appealing to Dream than anything the present had to offer. His job at the diner paled in comparison to plans for his own bakery in NYC, and any time spent working there felt like time wasted. That was, at least, until he found a beautiful boy sitting in the backmost booth of the diner, who liked milkshakes and sunsets and showing Dream how freeing it felt to love without constraint.

It’s a honeyed tone, almost husky when the words drop—something that George doesn’t think he’s heard before, and he watches ivory teeth drag over black snake bites, fixated on the way a pink bottom lip moves hard with the metal piercing. It’s hard not to stare, gaze lifting to dirty blond hair and a small smile, features so tantalizingly perfect that they render George breathless. Eyes widen, the boys smile growing, and Sapnap’s brother was not meant to be hot, that was never a part of the plan.
