We all now Harry has the patients of a god. And when he loses it is often explosive. Yet he has nothing to lose at this point, and Death is not ready for a person like Harry.
A story with a slightly more realistic idea what how the reaper challenge should have played out. Including, the reapers learning the definition of insanity.

Hermione Granger was willing to do anything she needed to to protect Harry Potter. Anything. She saw it as a sign of her devotion, showing him how much she loved him.
He saw it as a liability, as she was more than willing to do whatever she needed to protect Harry, even if that meant dismembering, cursing, or even murder. So Harry put some rules in place to cull her more violent tendencies. She hated the rules. The rules got in her way of protecting him from whatever was trying to do him harm. She wanted to get rid of all the rules. Harry insisted they stay.
There were fifty rules in total, and this is how each became one of the rules Hermione had to live by.
