Alec and Magnus try to create a bond and possibly a relationship while fighting off demons and healing wonds and bonds. They save a warlock girl and click. And they cant stop thinking about eachother. They go through troubling times just to meet over and over, usually through Alec's injuries.
or, retelling of shadowhunters if Alec had met Magnus before Clary joined alongside my own agenda and just major changes to the story.
basically Alec gets hurt a lot and Magnus heals him, a lot. There is background Jace/Clary and Isabelle/Simon, but my focus is on Alec and Magnus.

TK squinted his eyes because of the heat from the fires rising besides him, he corrected his mask and walked up the weak and crumbling stairs, picking where to step carefully. He was about to walk down a hall when a bolt of water hit the wall and caused him to stop. “Think about what you’re doing!’ Owen shouted, wetting the wooden walls next to TK for him to walk through. TK’s heavy boots pounding on the floor with every step as he walked further into the barn, searching the rooms when he saw a closed door. His breath got caught in his throat, seeing no single window, but a huge hole in the wall. The fire was hungry, eating it’s way through the wooden planks and moving quickly to the rest of the house.Series

“Before I do anything,” Peter said, hushed, “I need you all to understand that I’d do what you asked if I could.”
“What’s happening?” Mr. Stark asked, immediately worried. Other voices chorused after, a blend of professional concern.
Peter swallowed hard before firing a web to swing into the fray. “Cap’s going after civilians. I’m out of time.”
