“I always forget that you can just like, walk around there whenever you want,” Ned mumbled, grabbing one of the permission slips off the stack and standing up to walk the remainder back to Mr Harrington, Peter following closely behind.

“Aniara,” Peter was quick to reply, reaching into his backpack and pulling out a piece of paper, hanging onto it as he stared at Tony. “We’re still hanging this one up on the fridge, right? My A+ chemistry test.”
“Yeah, buddy,” Tony reassured him. “What’s Aniara?”
“It’s a Swedish sci-fi movie,” Peter explained. Tony’s hand easily found its way to Peter’s head, giving his hair a quick ruffle. “I’ve been meaning to watch it. It’s set in a dystopian future where people have to leave Earth to search for a habitable planet, but one of the ships strays off course.”
“Huh, dark,” Tony mused.

The nine-year-old was sitting on the couch in the penthouse living room staring at the floor. Pepper had told him to sit there almost ten minutes ago when she brought him home from school.
Yep, Pepper Potts CEO of Stark Industries had moved back into the Tower.
And with her came a truckload of changes for Peter.
The first two months with Tony were great, he was home with Peter every day, made his lunch, took him to school, and they worked in the lab nonstop. It was heaven for Peter. It was just like his time over the summer except he didn’t have to worry about it ending.
Every day felt like a dream.
For the first time in a long time, it felt like he had a real family and a dad.

He soon learned that he could dazzle his audience with a smile and a quick quip just as well as he could with a trapeze.
And, sure, Bruce had always told him to be careful. To keep a watchful eye on his drink, and not to stray too far from Bruce’s side. But Bruce was overprotective, and Dick wasn’t a kid anymore. He didn’t need to fear Gotham’s elite because there was nothing to fear.
