She knew it was a bad idea to press on the matter further, but he only opened up to her on such private things. It felt like she was walking on thin glass, ready to break under her with one wrong move.
But she had to know. Her curiosity was starting to get on her nerves. She just had to find out. But she also had to be careful.
After all, the look on his face when he was asked that question gave her the feeling that she wasn't going to like the answer.

Summary
Over 1,500 years ago the Xiaolin monks of that time trapped the most evil and despicable being deep underground in a secure fortress that could only be opened by the Xiaolin monks. Even after they separated and two went over to the heylin side, the fortress was not opened. For the evil behind that door would destroy the world and bring their destrus toon upon them.
But during a showdown the monks of this generation, unaware of the danger, have let that evil out into the world. Without any other option, their only choice is to team up with their greatest foes to trap the evil back where it belongs.

It wasn’t always like that. When Red Son was young his powers were strong, he was a protégé almost, or at least that’s what he was told. The issue is his powers never grew from when he was a child, they never became any stronger.
But his parents never brought up his powers, never pushed Red Son to practice, to gain more control, to make himself stronger.
The young demon knew exactly what that meant; it was a lost cause. His powers were so disappointing even his own parents didn’t bother. They had to be disappointed, there was no other explanation for it.
Except there was.
“The Samadhi Fire was created… by our own son.”
Or-Red Son learns why his powers have always been so weak, and why his parents never seemed to hold it against him. But decides the Samadhi fire being too strong isn't a good enough excuse, and tries to control it, with devastating effects
