Summary
Kurapika never expected to live long enough to send the words "I need help", but here he is anyway. He has found a lead on a pair of Scarlet Eyes, however, there is quite an obstacle standing in his way: he must infiltrate a couples-only bar. Luckily, Gon and Leorio-and Killua, after being bribed with chocolate robots- are all ready to help their friend achieve his goal.
The fact that Kurapika is requesting help shows how desperate he is.

Kurapika wanted warm, dry clothes-and maybe a nap-after getting drenched saving Katzo. However, he got Corin, a loud, rude sailor far more interested in Kurapika's appearance than giving him respect.
Long story short, Kurapika's patience runs dry long, long before his sopping clothes do.

Killua has witnessed Gon do a lot of stupid BS in a short amount of time, but adopting a spider as a pet and letting it crawl over his face in front of Kurapika most certainly takes the cake.
Long story short, Gon's small friend causes Kurapika massive suffering and Leorio is left to deal with the medical aftermath.

Summary
Being the stubborn kids they are, Gon and Killua, upon hearing that Kurapika is at the tail end of a Nen-overuse fever, sandwich him during a train ride, effectively leaving Kurapika trapped when they inevitably crash hard. Kurapika, equally as stubborn as Gon and Killua, stays up later before his body overrides his conscious effort to stay awake. However, come morning, Leorio discovers utter mayhem from his three favorite headaches: Killua needs to use the restroom; Gon has decided that Kurapika's body and half of the bench the three teens rest on is now his favorite bed, he is sprawled across Kurapika like the menace he is, all with one foot straight in the air, and Kurapika has shifted some of his weight onto Killua. Leorio must then untangle a knot of teenagers so Killua can have relief. After mild detangling, Leorio becomes Kurapika's human pillow, and remains that way until their arrival.
A two part story of the main quartet sleeping in the most chaotic ways.

Summary
Killua stood there, dumbfounded. This was the last thing he had expected to walk into.
“What’s all this?”
“What do you mean?” Gon laughed, “it’s for your birthday!”
Killua blinked up at the decorations on the wall. A banner that read “Happy Birthday!” was hung up. The back counter had four birthday hats. Kurapika was handing him a childish sash that said “Birthday Boy.”
“Is something wrong?” Kurapika asked.
“No,” Killua clarified. “I’m just surprised, that’s all.”
…
Killua isn’t used to normal birthday traditions. What will he do after realizing his friends want to celebrate him?

Summary
With nineteen years old, Kurapika has spent more time inside a hospital than outside of it. Orphaned as a child after the brutal genocide of his clan, marked by post-traumatic stress disorder and years of failed suicide attempts, he no longer expects anything from the future. Not studies. Not friends. Not love. And, of course, not a life beyond twenty.
Meanwhile, at twenty, Leorio is a clumsy, loud, and desperately determined medical student struggling to pass a university course that requires him to accompany patients with psychological problems.
What starts as an attempt to pass a class changes when Leorio becomes curious about the blond boy. As two kids and a college student fill his room with noise, sweets, trouble, and laughter, Kurapika discovers something terrifying: Maybe he still has reasons to stay.
But when love starts to turn into dependence, and the fear of hurting the people he cares about threatens to destroy everything he has built, Kurapika has to decide if he really wants to live.

“Kurapika.” Leorio’s voice was shockingly steady. How long had he known? How long had Kurapika not known? “I just—please, just get here. I know you’re busy, but… please. He needs you.”

Kurapika actually answers his phone following the incident in East Gorteau. However, he still has exactly one goal: recover the scarlet eyes. Fortunately for him, meeting up with Leorio brings him closer to his target and the accompanying danger. Leorio can't help but try to protect him.
