Summary
His arm slams out and hits the wall in an attempt to not crush Kazuha in the cramped elevator. Despite his best efforts, Itto doesn’t manage to avoid his chest bumping into Kazuha’s as he adjusts himself.
He hears a shriek, quickly looking around only to see nobody else is reacting. Itto’s face slowly blanches as thoughts he could never imagine coming from the stoic, unassuming man in front of him spill out in piles of word vomit.
I can’t believe this is happening.
He’s so cute when he’s flustered.
Thank you, fate, for letting this happen today.
Goodness I have to control myself, I almost said that out loud.
I might die looking at him.
My heart’s out of control.
Itto nearly blacks out.

Once Itto turns thirty, he realizes he can read other people's minds. This is how he finds out Kazuha, a diligent office worker well known for his accomplishments, has feelings for him. He reacts to this just as well as one might expect.

Sauntering through the empty hall, a fast set of footsteps quiets down at the sound of something hard banging against the wall from inside one of the cabin rooms alerting them.
Stopping at the door, there is a beat of hesitance before a gentle round of raps over it.
Kazuha tries to untangle his fist out of the white locks of hair he’s gripping in sheer desperation before his knees buckle, his other hand harshly pressed over his own mouth.

Summary
“Kazuha!”
He attentively looks down at Huixing calling for him, waving her arms as a small crowd of people huddle behind her by the stairway leading down to the cabins.
When Kazuha sees Huixing’s pale complexion and her teeth tear into the skin of her thumb as she nervously paces back and forth, he quickly makes his way down.
“What is it?”
She stares at him, her face ashen and her mouth opening and closing as though she isn’t sure where to even begin.
“You...that...” Huixing stammers, “that-that oni, with you...he’s...up to no good!”
Though she sounds grim, Kazuha relaxes.
“Up to no good” when applied to Itto was never something the wanderer could justify as bad.

Kazuha is pleasantly surprised by Itto's passionate spontaneity, ropes and all. The subsequent betting ring from Beidou and the Crux regarding their sex lives? Not so much.

Summary
The beetle spun in circles within the wanderer’s palms, tapping and prodding him through each movement.
It really felt like the oni had transformed, and was trying to capture Kazuha’s attention.
Kazuha raises his hands, staring at the beetle up close.
“...Nod if you’re Itto.”
The beetle’s head instantly moves up and down, claws clacking vigorously.

Summary
It was reasonable enough to assume the once nation’s champion of motorsports, after vanishing during the tragic death of his closest friend and teammate, wasn’t going to reappear out of nowhere in a race track of all places.
A youkai’s devotion was something many humans had spun into folklore.
The legend of the crimson and blue oni was still told to children growing up in the form of bedtime stories, and perhaps one of the best tales exemplifying how devoted a youkai can be towards humanity.
There were still those who feared that devotion, thinking it to be a facade used to gain societal acceptance for the purpose of infiltration—silly rumors that could turn dangerous.
Kazuha, however, was always keen on it.
Devotion was not far from a deep sense of loyalty.
