Eddie is flustered. His face feels hot. He takes another sip of his coffee to give his hands something do to, but that only makes him feel warmer. Shit.
Hen levels him with the most deadpan look. “Last week he walked into a stop sign after you called him ‘big boy’ on a call.”
Eddie nearly spits out his coffee.
Or: the one where Eddie subconsciously flirts with Buck without realizing and Buck is actively trying not to have a heart attack at work about it

Eddie becomes her first, and for a while, her only friend in LA and while it was a sobering thought, Juliana would soon come to find that Eddie and his boyfriend Buck were more than she could ever ask for and more.

But then there are moments like these in which a little girl needs saving and Buck blurs the line between what’s his job and his own need to be there for everyone he meets. His need to fix everything.So he stays there, just for that first surgery he keeps reminding himself, just to make sure she makes it out of the ER. Just to make sure Hen is right and she is in good hands. And a few hours later, when she makes it out and the doctor’s look around the waiting room for Cassie’s parents without all the context Buck already has, he stands up. On instinct. Barely even a lie. He couldn’t count it as one when he hadn’t spoken at all. He just stands up. He stands up and he follows the doctor to the ICU.
In which Buck worries about the little girl he just saved from a fire, and he gives her a home in his arms.
