Summary
It started with a relatively simple shift, many many years ago. And from there, a great many things began to change throughout this particular timeline. Some characters are absent during the events of the main story, while an old friend with a new face rules the Underground. The Prince pulls double duty as Royal Scientist, and under his rule the Underground has been focused on scientific progress. After all, there has to be another way...
Into this high-tech panoply of despair, one last human falls. Those who climb Mt Ebott are said to never return. You wonder why exactly that was, as you enter the cave. You can't help but feel like you've been here before... As you approach the hole, you fail to see the old root as your foot snags on it. The hole seems to rush towards you as you fall into the depths of the Earth. ...why is this so familiar?

Summary
Wishing to back out of her suicide attempt only after she hit the ground, the fallen human finds that she is unable to move. When a voice offers to save her for a price, she is too terrified of the darkness to do anything but accept. At first the voice seems helpful, promising to guide her out of the Underground so that she can see the sun again. But as time goes on and her control over her own body begins to slip away, she is forced to face the horrible truth of what she has allowed herself to become. Now she seeks the answer to but one question: can a soulless person save the timeline from shattering?

Summary
When a barrier between two worlds breaks, it provides an ample opportunity for two separated cultures to interact for the first time in ages. Everything was going to be okay, Frisk thought. But Sans did not continue talking like before. The silence was settling around them as Frisk continues laughing, now nervously. She attempts to move her hand away but Sans, deliberately does not release his hold. After a long uncomfortable pause he broke the silence with a few unsettling laughs, his eyes blackened, before finally speaking.

The king denied him, and as the last of the monsters entered the only entrance, the sorcerors raised their magic...
It was time, they decided. Years of research had led them here, and yet it had done little other than give Frisk more questions to answer.

When fate prevents a younger Frisk from ever falling into the depths of Mount Ebott, 15 years pass before they're able to venture close again. What has happened to the monsters trapped underground in those years? Thorny vines now prevent even most magical approaches to the mountain, and only rumor abounds about the fate of the monsters trapped inside. Something isn't right, and Frisk is about to find out firsthand.
