Vergil's reflection bore the marks of his sleepless nights - skin even paler than usual against the light blue of his coat, shadows deepening beneath eyes that had taken on a fevered gleam. His composure remained in every perfectly-arranged strand of silver-white hair, in each measured step. There was something brittle in it now, like ice just before it splinters. Power was everything, yet here was weakness made visible in the mirror, mocking him. The ancient writings became an anchor, something tangible to focus on besides the echoes of thunder and rain, of Dante's voice calling out to him before he'd walked away.
In which Vergil's encounter with Dante after the pre-DMC3 manga led to the elder twin's increased nightmares and bouts of insomnia. Taking a seeming demonic sleeping remedy from Arkham, the elder twin finds himself caught between strange visions and faces of himself yet to pass. Will Vergil be willing to listen to himself, or will he be forever destined to walk his current path?

While on a trip to Fortuna, Modeus came across baby Nero in an orphanage, not even 3 months after the events of Temen Ni Gru. And what did he do? Kidnaps baby Nero and takes him back to Devil May Cry because Dante has to know about him. Turns out, he doesn't and after figuring out that Nero is Vergil's son, Modeus decides to raise Nero with Dante's and Lady's help. What could go wrong? :)

Dante and Vergil got out of hell when they got bored. Upon re-entering the human world, predictably everything were more or less in shambles. Vergil was the one to propose a business proposition that can help them and then some. Of course, going for a highly sought after score doesn't always come easy or cheap.
Hard doesn't even cut it. Between competitors, family, past sins and getting into trouble in between, the Sparda brothers are just going get through it. This time together. And with more help on the side from places they didn't expect.
