There was only one way the manager could have found out Yeonjun wasn’t taking suppressants — and only one reason to ask Soobin to bring his clothes. The manager, and everyone present on set, would know.

Soobin hoped that one day it might grow easier, that he would no longer flinch at the members’ teasing or falter in the face of Yeonjun’s nearness, that his heart might finally choose someone more fitting. What astonished him most was how effortlessly Yeonjun remained unattainable, even while standing beside him day after day. Inevitably, they were bound together as members of the same group, yet between them yawned an endless chasm. And for Soobin, the thought of ever daring to cross it carried only one certainty: ruin. His ruin.
It was simpler, safer, to keep the distance, as he had for years. At least, until the day Yeonjun appeared on his doorstep, uninvited.

Yeonjun frowned, clenched his fists, and turned away from the irritating sight. He really was trying to keep himself under control, to not react. After all, in four years of being with Soobin — two of them spent in a relatively happy marriage — he had gotten used to the fact that Soobin’s entire family adored his ex.
Or perhaps Yeonjun is simply jealous of Soobin, until he learns some unexpected news.

Yeonjun—Yeonjun who is so unabashed and unashamed about what he likes, which, from what Soobin can tell, is everything. Yeonjun who has more social media followers than the entire band combined, Yeonjun who takes home a new person from the audience every night. Or sometimes two, or three. Soobin can’t figure out why this bothers him so much, other than the fact that Yeonjun living his life so loudly terrifies him. And excites him. And gives him hope.
(Or, the one where Tomorrow X Together is an up-and-coming indie rock band with Yeonjun at the helm, and they're short another guitarist for their first tour when Soobin shows up.)

"You’re early! Thank god." The stranger heaved a sigh of relief, wiping his hands on a flour-covered apron, that didn’t do too much to make them clean. "Beomgyu said you’d come to help, but I didn’t think you’d actually show up, because I mean… it’s Beomgyu we’re talking about, so... anyways, I’m Soobin and I’m desperate, so let’s skip formalities. Thank you for coming, seriously."
"Uh…" Yeonjun blinked, completely lost. "Help?"

"I thought about asking you out, back when you dyed your hair." Soobin lifts his head, startled. Yeonjun is smiling, small, almost shy. He raises a hand to push some of Soobin's fringe off his eyes.
"The blond hair really did it for you, didn't it?" Soobin jokes, trying to sound nonchalant.
He's not. He had blond hair in their second year. That was two years ago.
Yeonjun giggles. "It was a very good look. And with the glasses? Delectably nerdy." Soobin rolls his eyes and nuzzles back onto Yeonjun's chest. He's taller than the other, so he needs to bend his knees to keep his feet inside the bed, but he doesn't really care about that.
"Why didn't you?" Soobin asks after a while. "I would have said yes."
OR, on the night of graduation, Soobin and Yeonjun come to terms with all the time they lost.

“What?” Wooyoung feels his mouth mumble out.
“Just until you can get a new apartment,” Yeosang hurries to say, but he’s kind and there's a note of desperation in his voice that makes Wooyoung’s head spin, “Move in with me and my pack,” it's insistent but not pushy, as if Yeosang is trying to gently coax a stray kitten into safety.
