He waits, sipping coffee.
“There are many matters that he will now need to pass to me, while I wait to find someone to replace him. And, there is much to attend to at the estate that I have not even thought upon in decades.” Hannibal puts down the letter and picks up his spoon. The crux of the problem emerges. “He is suggesting that I come home."

The feeling of warmth and love is so strong, Xie Lian falters in his steps and pauses, closing his eyes for a moment to simply listen. He… yes, he has heard this before. It seems like a dream now, but he is sure it’s true – he has heard San Lang sing before.
Only after a beat or two does a question rise in his mind, and his eyes fly open in surprise once it registers.
San Lang sings?
How does he not know about this?Three times Xie Lian heard Hua Cheng sing without knowing the meaning of it, and one time where he knows it better than anyone.
