After a research run, Glisten discovers a spot of ichor on his friends face and like the good toon he is, offers to get it for him.

Neuvillette winced at the sound of Wriothesley and Sedene’s fierce arguing in the hallway. He loathed the distance he had put between himself and the Duke, but knew it was necessary. His strict instructions to keep Wriothesley out of his office were for the warden’s own good, no matter how much it hurt the Chief Justice to stay away.
“Fine! But I expect an explanation. If I don’t get one, then I’ll just keep coming back!” The Duke’s parting shot seemed to strike the Iudex’s heart.
“Please don’t,” he whispered once the doors of the Palais Mermonia slammed shut.
Please do, his traitorous heart echoed.
Or, Neuvillette saves Wriothesley from the brink of death by claiming him as his mate. Certain that Wriothesley will hate him for it, he seals himself away in the Palais Mermonia and promises to let the Duke live as normal a life as possible without getting in the way of his happiness.

“If you tell another joke, I’m banishing you,” Tighnari quickly says.
“Isn’t that your job tonight?” questions Cyno, pointedly.
And for once, that’s not a joke. Because evidently, the pollen from the plant had caused a rather unexpected series of side effects for Tighnari.
(Who knew that all it took was some pollen for Tighnari to join him in the purest form of merriment known as telling jokes! Perhaps Cyno could find next a plant that would inexplicably grant Tighnari a love for trading cards or beetles.)
In which Tighnari encounters a strange plant that makes him inexplicably tell bad jokes, much to Cyno's excitement. Or, the story where they tell so many bad jokes and flirt even worse it should be criminal.

Wriothesley looks and immediately regrets it, his face turning bright red. “Sigewinne.”
One heaping dose of Monsieur Neuvillette, daily, says the prescription. Apply physically, as needed.
A very tired Wriothesley retires at the end of the day and rests his face on Neuvillette's lap.

Silence stretches. They shuffle a little closer, squeezed onto the couch awkwardly. Wriothesley’s arm now cradles both of their heads, their foreheads pressed together. They rest like that, sharing space, leeching each other's scent. Neuvillette wants to be swathed in it, wants to leave his office for afternoon meetings covered in it so that there’s no doubt of just who he belongs to; of who belongs to him.
Neuvillette and Wriothesley take a midday nap in his office.
