When Jaskier withdrew his hand he looked shaken, his breathing just a touch uneven. “Hungry boy,” he muttered, his eyes cutting away. “Spare me my livelihood, at least.”
Geralt grunted as he rubbed the crumbs from his lips, thinking, that’s what I would do to him. Consume him entirely and in the whole.

Anders keeps count of all the times he flirts with Nathaniel Howe, which is--coincidentally--all the times Nathaniel Howe doesn't flirt back. It served Anders right for enjoying himself when there was still sort of a Blight on. Good to know the Maker was always there to get one in, when he could have been saving defenseless kittens from darkspawn slaughter or helping the mages not be trapped in lonely towers all the time.

“No, not sad. I’m not that pathetic” Eddie protests, willing down the tentative thread of longing that’s unfurling inside him. “This sort of public display of affection annoys me. They don’t have to rub it in your face like that.” The last part he didn’t mean to say out loud and he bites his lip hard.
There’s a silence in his head and it feels suspiciously like revelation. You’re lonely.
(Or: Eddie needs a hug and Venom learns about human touch.)
