He rolls down the sparkwheel, carefully setting fire to the wooden frame near the exits. The glass reflects the sparks on his face.
As the fire begins to roar, he drops the lighter into the fire. He turns his back to the mall. He’s free of their lies, their manipulation, their cruelty.
Though he wishes Ranboo, Charlie, and everyone he had met inside production, were walking away from the flaming mall with him, he knew– they weren’t able to. They were probably gone anyway, and he couldn’t risk even trying to save them.
Assuming they’re still alive.

"I'm not? I genuinely wasn't, Tommy?"
So either he really didn't know, or was pretending. Tommy sighed, "..I don't have powers, Tubbo."
Tubbo's eyes widened. Tubbo came closer to him, and patted him on the back.
"Sorry. I didn't know.. But hey! You'll get them soon enough! Look on the bright side, come on!"
Tubbo pulled him into a light hug. Pushing him away, Tommy turned on his heels and left. His pace sped up, until he was running.
Not quite knowing why, he ran all the way to the supermarket. Pausing to catch his breath, he stood up tall. He walked in and looked at the clock. He should have enough time to shop before returning to the apartment. He went around gathering the things they would eat and need. He was constantly checking the time. Finally finishing, he went to the registers. Paying, he looked at the television news report that was playing nearby.
"Local villain, 'Elytra', has been spotted near the middle of town recently. Stay clear of the area if you can - stay safe. Tuning out, your local reporters."
Tommy froze after hearing that.

Summary

On one of these days, Philza finds a boy, roughly at the age of nine, staring blankly into the abyss of a canyon. At first, he thought the boy was idiotic, for he was throwing away his life so early. But the boy, miraculously enough, found a way to cheat death, to resist Philza’s calling so much so that it stuns the God. And so, he finds himself...getting attached.

Wilbur’s breathing hitched as he looked into the pale eyes of the dead boy. Unlike before, his lips were no longer blue, and there was no more seaweed stuck in his blonde curls. He was sitting up now, the waves soaking the bottom of his pants as he sat on the sand across from Wilbur.
“You-”
“I’m not dead, Wil,” the boy said, the words tumbling out of him in a rush. “I’m not dead, don’t fucking listen to them when they say I’m dead because I’m not. You know I’m not!”
“I-I saw your body,” Wilbur stammered, unsure of how the dead boy knew his name.
“It’s not me! I don’t know what the fuck that thing was, but I’m not dead! You can feel it, can’t you?” The boy pleaded, his voice cracking as he started crawling on the sand towards Wilbur. “You have to save me, Wil. Please, you need to get me out of here!”
