‘Have you heard about that new domain?’ an adventurer in Angel’s Share whispered to his companion one particular night. ‘Apparently, it makes you face your biggest fears.’
Diluc was not one to usually pay a drunk man’s tale any mind, but the occasional exception was made for things he thought might harm the people of Mondstadt in any way. A domain that made one face their biggest fear? Something was definitely off about that. Both its unclear origin, and the way the news seemed to be spreading like wildfire.
Someone needed to put a stop to this. Someone who’d investigate that domain without having rewards as their main priority.
Someone who’d already had their biggest fear become reality anyway.
‘Gentlemen.’ Diluc spoke, putting down two freshly filled glasses in front of them. ‘Mind telling me where I can find this domain?’

From just a few tables away, a pretend-drunk Kaeya had the exact same idea, listening in on the conversation taking place.
Just his luck his brother was doing the hard work of finding out the domain’s location for him, huh?
