Summary
Jason stifled a frustrated sigh and turned to give this guy the gentle reminder that there was an entire theater of seats available and, hey, Jason was actually saving this seat for someone, but he froze when he saw the guy’s face, immediately snapping to face forward again and avoid eye contact.
Leave it to Harvey Bullock to be the exact kind of person to not only be at a movie theater in the middle of the day – Didn’t he have a job? Was this was the GCPD were being paid for these days? – but be as either rude or unaware enough to sit next to a stranger when any other seat was available. Geez, Jason had dared to hope that in the time he was dead, Bullock would’ve learned to be less of an oaf. But he guessed you can’t teach an old ox new tricks.

“Oh, ya picked the wrong apartment, buddy,” Harvey told the Red Hood, pointing his gun.
Red Hood was sitting underneath the window, a streak of blood marking his descent from it. Funny, Harvey’d thought that window didn’t open. There was a knife sticking out of Hood’s stomach, a hand pressed next to it with blood spilling out between the fingers.
“Yeah?” Red Hood looked up, but if he had an expression, Harvey couldn’t tell. The voice was modulated. “You mean this isn’t Batburger? I just get so turned around.”

Author's Notes:
When I came across the quote below in JKR's Book 4 about the low likelihood of Snape adopting Harry, I first considered addressing this topic comically, but that seemed too easy, and short, frankly. This is a serious attempt at making this realistic. Even though it is serious, it is supposed to be fun. Hopefully, even if the plot seems impossible, you'll find the resulting situations entertaining enough to make up for it. It has been way too fun to write.
No challenges being answered here except the unintended one from the mistress herself.
This story does not take Book 6: The Half-Blood Prince into account since it was written between Jan 2004 and June 2005, post-Book 5.
