Aleksander approached the door and leaned his ear against it, trying to eavesdrop on Alina and Mal’s conversation. “Alina, I love you.” He heard the boy confess.
A bitter scoff was let out as he backed away from the door, ignoring the burning sensation in his chest. He stood away, not hearing their voices once more.
