If you must fix something, you must start at the root of the problem. Except they already tried that and the Root was not very receptive to the idea. So... start before the problem even existed??
Except Team Ro didn't plan to come back to the past. They didn't have any concrete idea of what to fix. Most of them don't even think they have the jurisdiction to make such changes.

Summary
If Kakashi isn’t in any real danger Minato has no reason to worry, but Kakashi is the only one of his students still alive and he can’t help feeling responsible for every time he gets hurt on a mission. It’s ridiculous, Kakashi is an Anbu, he’s a jonin and he’s more than capable of defending himself and being responsible for himself, but still he’s just a child, or teenager as Kakashi would argue, and Minato is pretty much the only adult present in the boy’s life.
Or
Kakashi's and Minato's relationship through both of their eyes as they try to protect each other and the trust they share.

The second thing Kakashi noticed about him was that he looked young, he looked around Kakashi’s age, no older than 21 or 22 at least. Blonde, unruly hair splayed out on the ground, the golden tips dyed red with his blood. His face looked calm, despite the state of the rest of him. Long blonde lashes rested against tan cheeks in his unconsciousness. Kakashi scowled at the scars that marred the man’s cheeks, three whisker like scars on each side, original cuts so deep they seemed indented still in his flesh. Blood seeped out of his nose and dribbled over his lax lips. Nothing about the man screamed imminent danger. He looked so small and innocent, pitiful in the puddle of his own blood.
---Or the one where Naruto crashes (quite literally) into a past that isn't his and not so smoothly tries to save it.

Summary
The Hidden Leaf Village in Naruto's time seems to have forgotten just why the village was founded and have lost their way. Through a mishap with a hiraishin seal, Tobirama finds himself during Naruto's time and he is having none of this nonsense. His brother may be gone, but he won't stand to have Hashirama's dream trampled so.
And if he has to cause a civil war or burn the village down to the ground? Well that depends on how much resistance he meets.
All Tobirama does know for certain is that no child will suffer underneath the protection of Konoha and if he has to take them in and care for them himself, then he will.

Summary
In book 1, pre-Shippuden Naruto is pulled into the Fourth War as an unwitting participant in an experiment involving time-traveling dimensional jutsu. The culprit is Orochimaru, seeking to build pathways between dimensions and testing the boundaries of existence. Despite the danger, Naruto sees an opportunity: to learn as much as possible about the future, and find a way back to the past.
In book 2, Naruto and his fellow time-travelers have left the future, but changing their own timelines for the better is a tough process. Armed with secondhand knowledge and determination, they work to change their own destinies while finding unexpected camaraderie in one another. And though they escaped the future, Orochimaru may have his own ways to interfere with their best-laid plans.
Book 3 will be a shorter side-story. In it, an unforeseen disaster strikes just as the Third War is about to end. Obito loses the Book of Seals and his connection to the other timelines. The journey to finding the book is extremely risky, but along the way, new connections are formed and old ones are strengthened.
