Summary
Yosemite had always been a refuge. A realm set aside from reality, infused with nostalgia, but so much realer than anything in your city life now.
In need of a break from the noise, you leave to stay with your uncle Kyle Turner in the park among the cedars and oaks. But the fresh air is immediately disrupted by the complex, elusive Head of Wildlife Management, Shane Maguire, as he becomes fixated on you and your resistance to him.
You’re warned away from him by anyone you speak to, but he’s everywhere you turn. Disgusted by his arrogance and simultaneously drawn to his gravity, the two of you become more and more intertwined despite your best instincts.Bookmarked by Marghe20

Summary
After you'd moved in, Dex installed the cameras to keep an eye on you while he wasn't around. The apartment isn't unsafe, and he really doesn't need the added security, he just likes the assurance. When the world is too much, and he's struggling to hear anything over the buzzing in his brain, he can check his phone and see you there, keeping the world turning.
Now, you're keeping him semi-entertained. Nothing is happening around the snitch, so Dex is only half-watching him. Most of his attention is on you, drinking a glass of wine at 2pm and dancing through the kitchen. His mouth quirks up in a smile as you sing along to whatever music you have on, totally unaware that he's watching.

Summary
Benjamin Poindexter is good at keeping things separate.
His work is one thing. His personal life is another. And the two are never supposed to overlap.
Then an eight-year-old boy becomes the center of a federal investigation, and Dex finds himself spending more time at an elementary school than he ever expected. That's where he meets you, the boy's teacher, who is far too observant, far too kind, and entirely too easy to remember.

Summary
Structure, schedule, a solid foundation to build his life on. It keeps him safe and sane. He follows the tapes, he works, he presents himself in a way that the rest of the office respects. He can be friendly and amicable. He isn't broken.
Dr. Mercer always told him that. There's nothing broken about him, he just needs a North Star to guide his compass. After she died, he didn't think he would find one again. But.... then there's you.
He hates you at first- the way your heels click through the office, how you're always in the break room when he just wants a moment of silence. But then something shifts, something inside him latches onto the best parts of you so he can emulate your morals. But what happens when the woman he's turned into a saint ends up being too human?

Summary
You had just moved in, boxes still piled in uneven stacks around the mostly empty room. Sure, it had a bed and the bare essentials, but none of your things had found their place yet—everything still sitting where it had been dropped, like you weren’t fully settled, just… paused.
Your roommate—Benjamin, he said—was nice.
Awkward, in a way that didn’t quite settle, but nice. He’d helped you carry your boxes in without being asked, offered you a drink before you’d even set your keys down, lingered just long enough to be helpful without crossing into overbearing. He seemed… lonely, maybe. Like someone who didn’t go out much, who stayed in more than anything else.
