Teddy further restrains Jonathan by pinning him down with both of his hands. Gaze fixes on him, the same inscrutable dark eyes, now scanning, observes; doesn’t seem like a man consumed by lust.
Jonathan blinks, flickers just so a hint of uncertainty.
“You’ve never done this before. Haven't you.” Teddy says.
The target saw through him.
It’s true. Jonathan has never had sex with a man before. Foolishly he didn’t fully consider it being a real possibility with Teddy, not until it’s too pathetically late.
“Stay.” Teddy commands, lets go of his wrists, then moves to the edge of the bed. Pulling Jonathan legs closer down to his side.
“Lie on your stomach.”

A light breeze rustles the palm trees and stirs up the pool, and the sunlight reflects off the water to throw tiny ripples of light on the house. It’s always the fucking same, he thinks. Lenny’s suddenly right back where he was yesterday: trapped between the law and his near-constant craving for smack, unable to deal with how fucking nice it is when he’s walking around like a marked man, wondering if the next blow will be the last.
“You okay?” Midge calls from the door. She hasn’t bothered to change out of her nightgown, and the sight of her like this - awash in golden sun, here, in his house, fresh from his bed - breaks his thought spiral and his heart at roughly the same moment.
He shakes his head to clear it. “Deja vu, you know how it is."

As if it’s not enough for her one taste of freedom to end in bitter disappointment, the following day heaps insult upon injury over it. By the time the day is through – after Alicent’s accusations, after her father’s reprimands, after the crowning indignity of the tea that says her father does not believe her – Rhaenyra is in a thoroughly foul mood.
So when the panel at the back of her bedchamber creaks open and none other than the agent of her humiliation himself strolls in, her reserve of charity is nonexistent.
Canon-divergence from the end of Ep 4: Daemon doesn’t leave the city immediately when his exile is ordered, and shows up in Rhaenyra’s rooms the next night.
