Summary
There were only five underground agencies in the country. Shouta ran the Musutafu office with his police partner, Naomasa Tsukauchi. Lately, though, he’d been considering retirement from heroics. The schedule didn’t matter, the exhaustion and constant cuts and bruises weren’t an issue, Shouta didn’t hate his job or mind the side effects.
The problem was that Shouta had started to empathize with the criminals and villains he fought and captured. He’d never swap sides, of course. Shouta had a very firm grip on morality and the letter of the law. But he understood what had driven these criminals to dire straits all too well.

OR: Shouta just got back from patrol on a very long night where he meets a villain he understands too well. It brings him back too many bad memories and he's left standing in his guilt in the bathroom, all night, until his husband finds him and brings him back to the present.

Shinsou froze and his eyes darted to the front of the class. Kaminari didn’t notice the tension in the room as he closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair. “Why would he need to? He’s got a killer Quirk, it’s not like he’d ever need to be good at hand-to-hand. Right, guys?”
Like most moments of casual reckoning between Class 1-A and Aizawa, it started with Kaminari being stupid.

Shouta was on his feet and headed down the hall in an instant, Hizashi hot on his heels. Eri's muffled cries from the bathroom hit his ears as he approached, and his heart thundered up into his throat. Eri crying wasn't unheard of, but locking herself in the bathroom definitely was.
Hizashi knocked on the door before Shouta could manage, calling through it, "Eri, can you open the door, honey?"
"Go away!" She snapped.
