What if, it was the other way around?
“Excuse me.” A voice breaks the shift change huddle that the doctors and nurses have formed.
A young man, in a suit with blond hair and blue eyes, too gentle in the crisp black suit yet an aura that they can’t decipher, reaches into his pocket, pulling out a badge.
”Supervisory Special Agent, Dennis Rossi Whitaker. FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit. May I have a word?” He says in a soothing tone, yet doesn’t undercut the weight of his words.
Dr. Trinity Santos, during her MS4 rotations in UPMC had found that her cheap living space have become unhabitable. She finds SSA Dennis Whitaker, an FBI agent who offers her a room which is luckily near the hospital that she matched in for her residency, Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.
Or; Still in the same backstory of this series but Dennis decides to go the FBI route instead, becoming Supervisory Special Agent Dennis Rossi Whitaker of the FBI. He eventually meets, Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch who has an immediate disdain for him upon first meeting.

“Did you really make the food yourself?” Dr Robby asked softly as he folded his arms across his chest.
Dennis nodded dumbly.
“You’re a great cook, kid. Thanks for sharing. It got me through this fucking awful shift.” The older man nodded in thanks, smiled ever so slightly, and then turned around and walked away.
Or; Dennis brings Dr Robby lunch to work one day. The older man is very appreciative. An agreement is made. Who needs boundaries with their boss, anyway?

Summary
After an accident, Dennis receives an unwelcome visit from his past in Pittsburgh. Despite his protests, he is dragged back to Nebraska. But what his family doesn’t know is that he will be bringing his boyfriend with him.

“She wants me to go back.” Dennis said.
“Do you want to?” Robby asked.
“No.” Dennis voice cracked before he cleared his throat to continue. “But they need me apparently.”
“For what?”
“I guess the farm got ripped apart on the last tornado, and my dads on bed rest for some unknown reason, and he won’t hire help and my brothers can’t get it done, so they called on me.” Dennis was staring at the table.
Robby's hand found the base of Dennis’ neck pulling his head up to look at Robby.
"I have to go back.” Dennis whispered.
“Yea?”
“Mhm... I’m not a bad son...” A tear ran down his cheek, Robby’s skin catching it.
“No, you're not. You're a good son, a good person, and a great doctor. No matter what they say.”
Dennis just nodded.
“I could go with you.” Dennis straightened. “If you want, I don’t have to.” Robby said, a little frazzled by Dennis sudden reaction.
“Would you really?”
