General Kenobi is a masterful fighter, but Rex has seen plenty of men crumple under hormones. And with the clear dominance General Skywalker is radiating, a growl buzzing through his chest, trying to get them both to submit—
“Anakin Skywalker,” Kenobi says sharply.
Skywalker’s growl cuts off.

Anakin was saved by Sideous, taken away after the sand people attack his family and his mother dies. He is put into the Vadar suit to save his life, or so he thought. In an accident, his mask is broken and without his breathing apparatus, he is sure he's dead. His body heats up and feels like he's burning from the inside out and he's sure he's bleeding somewhere.
But the Obi-Wan Kenobi comes along and makes the pain go away and Anakin realizes he's been living a lie.

Love and justice both demand courage, and Vader and Padmé find theirs tested as they fight their way towards changing their galaxy's future, and to each other.

Anakin is born slightly earlier, and as such, discovered and taken from Shmi by Maul & Palpatine at the age of 6, with the idea of turning him into a weapon for the Sith. The Force, however, has its own course... Balance can be achieved in ways more than one, and no matter how vast the darkness seems to be, a single spark is enough to light it up. My take on the common prompt "Anakin starts at the dark side."
A self-indulgent fic in which I get to polish my headcanon about the Force and study for my Philosophy courses by shamelessly stealing concepts from them. Feel free to disagree with me. I read all comments even if I don't get to reply.

Obi-Wan overhears Ahsoka asking Anakin about his origins and can't quite ignore the temptation to stick around and listen to the remaining conversation. But Anakin's explanation of his life as a slave and then later a Jedi turns out to not be entirely accurate, and Obi-Wan is compelled to intercede.
