Summary
One was destined for greatness. One was damned for failure. At least, that’s how it looked…
Katsuki Bakugo has finally achieved his life long dream. He has risen up to take his place as the Number One Hero, the successor of All Might, no, his surpasser. The world sings his praises, and that is all he asks for… sometimes.
Izuku Midoriya prefers to stick to the background nowadays, at least when he can help it. Some dreams are meant to die, but old habits die hard. Izuku doesn’t care too much about the repercussions; he just wants to help. For now, he’ll take care of what the heroes can’t (cleaning Ground Zero’s messes being one of the many things he does).
This was the plan. Keyword “was.” Contrary to popular belief, sometimes life does listen. It just likes to screw with people for its own amusement.Inspired partially by the song “We Are” by Hollywood Undead.

But with one tether severed, a replacement was needed. And though he receded into the background and the world overlooked him, he never overlooked the world.
He'd continue to watch. If he had to, he'd run. He'd help. He'd fight.
The world did not need to see him… but it's nice that a few people noticed.(Or the Vigilante Izuku AU where the backpack is a valid weapon, the Heroes don't know whether to love or hate his presence, and his other relationships are… interesting.)

Slowburn Polytr/x stuck in a zombie apocalypse. Recent chapters (at the time of this bookmarking, ~ch18) have introduced more reinterpritations from canon (keeping it vague to not spoil). Really looking forward to seeing how the story and the relationship develops.

“I’m not going to do anything stupid,” she says. “I’m not looking to meet anyone, and if I was, I wouldn’t go after wannabe reality TV stars. But they’re going to fly me all over the world, Weiss, and pay me more than I made in four years of royalties off my last book.”
“When you put it like that, it sounds almost reasonable.”
“That’s because it is,” Blake says. “Now help me pack or get out of my apartment.”
“Just promise me you won’t actually marry someone you meet on reality television."
(Blake agrees to become Remnant's next bachelorette for a lot of reasons, but getting married is absolutely nowhere on that list. Then, of course, she meets Yang.)
