Summary
Alexander Ward was the silently well-known benefactor of the Elvia valley. Townsfolk would travel for half a day to reach his estate to seek help from the Warden himself. Leah Baker became his personal assistant, believing him to be a kind man. That was true, for the most part, though he saved his patience and understanding for everyone except her. He was constantly stressed, despite perfect appearances, and Leah just so happened to take whatever he gave her.
In a stolen moment alone, Leah wrapped a curse around her neck—and it never came off. It was a blood-binding collar, though it looked no different than one of the many ornate luxuries the Ward estate had to offer. Absolutely seething, Alexander shoved her onto her belly and lifted her skirts, knowing there was only one way to break the curse.
Leah and Alexander are forced to bind their blood, given three months to create a new life or risk losing both of theirs.
