Summary
Ninety-seven years ago, a nuclear apocalypse rendered planet Earth unlivable, leaving only the four-hundred people on the twelve space stations as its survivors. Over three generations, these twelve nations joined together to form the unified Ark Station.
To preserve the human race, the leaders of the Ark implemented strict measures including: capital punishment for anyone over the age of eighteen, a ration system based on job placement, and the arrangement of marriages based on genetic compatibility. If the human race was to return to Earth, it had to be strong to survive.
Clarke Griffin turned eighteen and celebrated her birthday with a marriage ceremony.

Madi nodded. “I want to know about how you met. You’ve never told me.”
“We met on the first day we came to Earth,” Clarke began. “Bellamy was being a total ass, and I—”
“That’s not true.”
“Maybe that’s not how you remember it, but you so were—”
“No. I mean, that’s not how we met.”
She furrowed her brows. “Yes it is.”
He wore this dumbfounded smile, apparently thrilled that his memory was better than hers. “No it’s not.”
An AU where Bellamy stayed on Earth with Clarke after Praimfaya. In this One-shot, Bellamy and Clarke tell Madi a story to soothe her to sleep, and they explore what they mean to each other after 3 years on Earth.Bookmarked by MidnightRocket

"You're supposed to smoke over there." Someone said from behind Ilya.
Ilya almost dropped his cigarette. His English was shitty, but he had studied that sentence enough times over the years to understand it immediately. He didn't even think about his words much anymore, but it was impossible to avoid them.
He turned instinctively, and was face to face with Shane fucking Hollander.
Out of almost seven billion people, of course Ilya's soulmate had to be his fated rival. It was almost poetic. Still, Ilya had enough sense to realize just how bad this was.
or, Shane says Ilya's soulmate words. Ilya vows to never speak a word to him to keep him from finding out. They fall in love anyway.

'If anyone were to ask Tim - including Lucy herself - what it’s like to have Lucy stay with him, he’d respond that it's aggravating. And, on paper, it should be. She talks too much and leaves the empty milk cartons right next to the trash can and sings in the shower and she’s tried to cleanse his home with herbs twice. It’s been four days, and he’s already finding himself growling her name under his breath in exasperation more now than he ever did when she was his rookie. '

She’d fallen asleep holding his hand and woken up with him again and it isn’t the morning after the worst day of her life anymore. It feels like what she’s been waiting for. It feels like permission.
