In order to make that work, he would have to only record those which were brought to his attention. Those were the truly important ones. In the meantime, he could do other necessary things he had been neglecting such as organization or research. Although, realistically thinking he knew he wouldn’t be much good for anything.
During nicotine withdrawals, his notoriously dedicated attention span would practically go out the window. He’d become too agitated and distracted to get any work done. But he’d done it before, he could do it again."

Cody grits his teeth, trying to swallow his anger. It wasn’t the kid’s fault. He didn’t know any better.
“He shouldn’t have that,” Cody says coarsely, ignoring the way it pains his chest to watch the boy’s face fall. “It doesn’t belong to him.”
“My uncle is not a thief,” The boy contests, crossing his arms tightly across his chest. “Maybe you’re the thief!”
Cody sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose between his fingers. “You don’t know what you’re talking about, kid.”
“My name is Luke,” He says firmly, dropping his arms to his side and straightening his back. Cody looks back up to make eye contact with him, surprised by the fiery determination in his little eyes. “And for your information, we Kenobis are honorable men. We certainly do not steal.”

Summary
In which Palpatine has a vision, Dooku Falls just a little bit earlier... and the world changes because of it.
Little Anakin Skywalker is only nine years old when a man with yellow eyes kills his master and takes Anakin and his mother away from Tatooine. Not to free them, but to enslave them under a new, crueler master.
Eight years later, Darth Tyranus ignites an interstellar war that threatens to topple the galaxy into darkness. Masterminded by the Sith, it only takes two years of bitter fighting to bring the Republic to the very brink of collapse, precisely where Tyranus and Sidious want it.
That is, until the Jedi start winning battles they aren’t supposed to. When Sidious fails to coerce the Jedi into revealing anything except that the source of their intel is from Rattatak, he orders Tyranus to remedy the situation.
