Summary
Amamiya Ren has run the gauntlet and survived. Cognitive divinities, overenthusiastic therapists, rogue AI - you name it, he's dealt with it. His reward? A comfortable college life with a new family, a loving girlfriend, and a group of friends who would do anything for him. But for some reason, fate seems to like screwing with him in particular.
Now Ren finds himself in a new and dangerous world full of demi-humans, actual humans (which look nothing like he remembers), rampant bigotry, and magic of the distinctly non-persona variety. With no idea how he got here, and only the concept of a plan to get back, the former leader of the Phantom Thieves hitches his wagon to a unique Elda with an even more unique book.
A retelling of Metaphor: ReFantazio wherein Amamiya Ren joins the Protagonist's quest to save the prince of Euchronia, and his unique skillset and knowledge will hopefully tip the scales in their favor.

Ren didn’t know when or why he got these feelings. She was like a little sister at first, just another good friend. But he started feeling more than that.
The strange thing was that she had the same feelings. Because of that they had so much fun spent together, and so many memories made. During his time with the Phantom Thieves and even a little after. All the while being each other’s key items through and through.
He wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Summary
During the fight with Yaldabaoth, the False God of Creation, in a final gambit, unleashes one final attack on the exhausted Phantom Thieves, killing both himself and them. Just as the Thieves' souls are about to return to the Sea of Souls, Philemon appears before them and offers them a choice. Return to the sea to be reincarnated, or start from the beginning. For a group of outcasted young adults, the answer to them was obvious. But will this fresh start end the same? Or will unexpected events change what they know. (Persona 5 Vanilla Thieves sent to the start of Persona 5 Royal. Tactica and Strikers included.)

During the battle against Yaldabaoth, the God of Control unleashes a final attack that kills both him and the Phantom Thieves. After their deaths lead them to be imprisoned in the Velvet Room, they accept an offer to be sent back in time to fix their mistakes, and end up in the timeline of Persona 5 Royal.
