It's december the 24th, and Shinichi is going to a christmas party with Ran and the Shounen Tantei. Until Hakuba breaks the news that Kaito is in grave danger and needs to be rescued.
Of course, only Shinichi is the only one able to do it. And naturally he steps up to save the man he adores.
However, there seems to be a few steps too many in between learning of Kaito's predicament, and actually saving him? Something fis*y is going on.

Summary
Kaito has never had a partner during his time at CIRO, preferring to gather intelligence on his own. That changes when an assignment lands on his desk, telling him that he is being loaned to another agency to partner up with the former high school detective, Kudou Shinichi.
Shinichi spent several months on desk duty for the PSIA after his partner was killed. When he's finally allowed to go into the field, he is partnered up with an agent from a different agency who is nothing like the agents that Shinichi has worked alongside before. But that wasn't necessarily bad, or is it?
A strange missing persons case is handed to them, and they find that it's difficult to find any lead or connection at all between the missing people. But somethow, by working toghether, they're supposed to solve it?
What could go wrong?

The victims have been sucked dry, which would mean the murderer is a vampire. That is, if vampires existed - which they don't, according to society.
Good thing Shiiba knows better and has an informant who knows even more.
