After Aziraphale and Crowley finally break the power of Heaven and Hell, Crowley wants to give Aziraphale time and space to adjust to his new independence. After all, he knows what it’s like, learning to live without Heaven. So Crowley doesn’t push for a relationship right away. He’s letting Aziraphale move at his own pace. No rush.
And then along comes Emerson Bradford: a gorgeous American investor with a heart-melting smile, ocean-blue eyes, and a passion for rare book preservation. He’s heard of Aziraphale. He wants to give Aziraphale everything he needs to take care of his books. He wants to give Aziraphale a lot more, besides. And it seems like Aziraphale wants what Emerson has to give.

Summary
Aziraphale deliberately took Crowley to lunch to seduce him. To inspire him, as Aziraphale had insisted on clarifying. Not into anything more than kissing him, Crowley was certain. But when they get back to the bookshop it ends up being a whole lot more.
“Has it occurred to you, Crowley,” Aziraphale draws his name out, like it’s something special and just the right flavor on his tongue. “That I might want you just as badly as you want me?”
Sixty seconds ago, Crowley wouldn’t have believed him for even a moment but now… He trips over the tenses of things: “It had not.”

It’s been over forty-eight hours since Aziraphale pointed out that Crowley never initiates kisses between them. And since then, Aziraphale has been waiting for Crowley to come to him. Forty-eight hours and it’s the longest they’ve gone without kissing since they started. Crowley’s ready to do it, he’s going to do it, he’s about to do it, when Aziraphale decides what they should actually do, is lunch. A long, meandering lunch, with champagne and delicacies that immediately have Crowley thinking about a whole lot more than kissing. But then that’s usually what happens when Aziraphale eats in front of him.
Or: All Crowley really wants to do is kiss Aziraphale, instead, he chooses to meander through his vast expanse of cultivated and curated fantasies, all while Aziraphale enjoys his lunch across the table.

There would be many delicious desserts, and drinks in pretty patterned cups, and large windows for the soft sunlight to stream through, and a pockmarked dartboard for the slow and lazy days, and a hidden stash of alcohol for the slower and lazier nights, and a well-loved baby grand off to the side for the occasional whimsical melody...
Most importantly, he wouldn't be alone.
