This is a somewhat long ABO fic that'll go through John's first pregnancy in 1964 to their settlement as a "big happy family" in the 70s, passing through a shitload of the canon drama and angst of the late 60s adapted to fit the story. TW: I went off rails with the amount of angst, but I swear it was necessary in order to really address the therapy they needed before settling as a happy marriage. I'm now officially a psychologist so please believe me.

There was nothing much linking them together. All seven of them were as different as they could be (quite literally), and their paths would have never crossed had Namjoon been an organized person.
But no, he had to go and lose his Regal Weapon, thus losing his status as a mercenary, and get stained by the magic of the sword in such a way that he became able to turn magical creatures, animals and even some sentient objects into humans. Magical creatures, animals and objects (only one) which apparently had their reasons to want to be turned into humans and, moreover, join him in his quest to find his sword.They had nothing at all in common and, yet, now that Namjoon led his colorful caravan of eccentric friends across the empire, he can’t imagine not having met.

Seungmin thinks he smells great; no biggie, really. It's only reasonable: Bang Chan is their pack alpha, he's bound to smell like home to them all.
On the other hand, turns out that feeling deeply depressed the moment he spends longer than a month without being scented isn't something they all go through. Huh.Or the one in which Seungmin realizes he is very much in love with Bang Chan after all.

[Archaic] A fanciful or impractical idea or theory.Sokka remembered the southern lights every now and then, when they were older. It would be during certain moments in which he couldn’t help thinking about the past, remembering, that he was drawn back into its peace. Into its despair.
He felt like the southern lights, in those moments.
