Enid liked boys. At least she’s pretty sure. Like, Ajax was cute and she had traded assignments with Wednesday during outreach day to be with him. But then he stood her up. Then they made up. And then Wednesday started going out with Tyler Galpin. And that sour, fizzing sensation deep in her chest couldn't possibly be jealousy like there’s absolutely no way. Right?
And when she wolfed out on the blood moon to save Wednesday it couldn’t possibly be because she's her mate, right? Like theres just no way.
Or could it?
Little did she know that her wolf had already chosen and the curse had taken root. Wednesday was hers, just as much as she was Wednesday’s.

This jolted Enid from her thoughts, heart racing as if the goth could read her mind. To her knowledge, no, that was not within her scope of powers but the blonde wasn’t without doubt that it could very well be a hidden ability. Wiping her weirdly sweaty hands on the cushion she sat upon, she released a small laugh under her breath. “How do you always know when I’m thinking of you?”

“It figures that you’d be out here,” Catra called, instead of hello, Adora, lovely to see you again after a decade.
Adora stared for a few moments, then broke into a wide, toothy smile - exactly as Catra remembered. She summoned that smile sometimes alone in her bedroom, when her popularity and loneliness warred for her attention. She summoned it so she could keep it close and watch it and observe it and remind herself that she used to see it every day, that she was lucky that she’d ever seen it at all.
She hadn’t deserved it, but she’d had it all the same, and she’d let it go.
“Are you okay?” Adora asked, voice full of concern, eyes big and blue and so Adora that it made Catra’s tail twitch.
“I just crashed my fucking car,” Catra snapped, “so no.”

Her father was looking for a job but lacked experience, her brother was too young for it and on top of it all her mother had just had her youngest brother, Pubert, she needed to take care of him and the house. She knew she had to do something, so, to her dismay, she accepted it.

Summary
Wednesday is feeling atrocious during the summer break. It is appalling how much the heat interrupts her writing schedule.
It is definitely not caused by the frequent silence from her colorful roommate. Nor the fact that Enid's mother keeps trying to set up a mate for her. She comes to visit only because the variety of place may possibly help with her writer's block. And to intimidate some werewolves at Enid's request but that's inconsequential.
What's definitely consequential is Enid's sudden affection. And the fact that Wednesday has to fight really hard not to accept it since Enid isn't of sound mind. The taste of aphrodisiacs being so similar to licorice quickly makes her rethink her favorite sweets.

Enid knew that wasn’t a whole lie, Wednesday was very loving and affectionate to family. She could tell whenever family weekend came around, the raven was always doted on by her parents. However, she also knows the roommate didn’t appreciate physical affection to an extent, only allowing the wolf minimal hand holding or hugs for certain occasions.
“I know.”
Wednesday waited before speaking further, her words low as she gripped the pastel girls sleeve.
“I don’t know how to write this and I would appreciate if you would aid me given your expertise.”

Ever since the return to Nevermore Wednesday begins to notice that Enid is acting differently, not bad different but just... different. Of course, she feels it is her duty to get to the bottom of it.
(After Enid's first "wolf-out" she begins to change and enter her new role as an "Alpha". As it turns out Wednesday plays a huge part in that role, and even if she doesn't know it, Enid is going to woo her the werewolf way.
