The song gets louder, and Alastor is still sitting up, staring at him with wide eyes, smile small and dumbfounded. Lucifer catches a few words, louder than the static, and Alastor must notice, because he's glaring at the air, as if that'll make it stop, because the song, without a doubt, is a sappy, longing, love song.
"Turn it up, Al." Lucifer laughs out, and Alastor turns fully red at that, especially when the song does exactly that.

Summary
Alastor has always been an opportunist. When a good opportunity falls into his lap like a red apple fell onto Sir Isaac Newton's head, he'll take it and use it to his best benefit. But the thing Alastor finds a little bit pathetic about himself is that, unfortunately, he IS also an Altruist. Besides, sometimes replanting that apple, making it grow and thrive, could bring him more benefits than gorging on it the second he gets it.
Written after s2e5 and s2s6 aired! So spoilers up to then, but not for future episodes!

Summary
Charlie is the Princess of Hell, and she's not stupid. She knows that telling Vox that he's the strongest sinner in Hell is a very bad idea. With that addendum to her deal with Alastor that says that she won't do anything to hurt anyone, Charlie refuses to give in, and Alastor's deal with Rosie remains intact.
But, well, if one Morningstar won't do it, maybe the other will.

“I must admit I’m surprised to discover you are not a morning person,” Alastor said. “One would assume the Morningstar rose with the sun.”
He could practically feel Lucifer’s glare.
Can be read as a sequel to It's Shadow's Fault OR standalone. You may miss a few references with the shadows, but that's it.

Summary
Alastor appears out of thin fucking air again, which makes Angel jump. He is at least dressed as he usually does, although the state of his closet had Angel perhaps believing otherwise. There's a look in his eyes that he's seen a thousand times before — he isn't all here, right now. Angel sucks in a breath and steps right in his path, so that he can't simply evade him and leave. If his eyes on the door were any indication, that's exactly what he was gunning for, the slippery fuck.
“The hell is all this, Al?” He says, gesturing around the room with each and every one of his hands, and then with a much more sincere inflection, “What's goin’ on with ‘ya?”
Alastor doesn't respond at first, but slowly, his head creaks and twists as he spins it all the way around to scan the room. Then, he fixes his eyes up on Angel. His grin is as wide as it ever is, but it's that stupid fake one, which Angel has come to loathe, “Oh, you needn't worry yourself, dear. I was simply struggling to find a suitable outfit. I have an appointment with Rosie.”

He’s being a baby. Alastor’s arrival isn’t unwelcome. He looks over his shoulder briefly, but openly, inviting him to join. Alastor does come closer, until he’s standing directly beside him, and all Angel can see is the knobby points of his knees through his slacks.
Alastor hums, “I hate to be the one to tell you this, Angel, but falling to your death is hardly an option any longer, no matter how appealing it may seem. It would be rather dramatic of you, though. Very theatrical.”
A suicide joke. Classic Alastor. Angel rolls his eyes and snorts, feeling only a little less heavy. He pulls up his knees into his chest and crosses his arms over them, “Be fuckin’ nice though, wouldn’t it? One jump, an’ it’s over.”

Alastor gets a closer look at Angel's working life, and in time Angel gets to see a softer side of the Radio Demon. As a reluctant acquaintance becomes a trusted friend, Angel finds solace in Alastor, and eventually something more.

After hearing about the group's trip to the BDSM club in Ep3, Alastor takes Angel to one side with an intriguing proposition: An arrangement that seems too good to be true (even if Angel can't get his head around the whole 'no sex' part). What starts out as nothing more than a lucrative deal and a ticket to freedom turns Angel's world upside down, and by the time he finds his feet again, he finds he's in too deep, and there's no going back. Can they both get what they need without disastrous consequences? Only one way to find out.
