I hopped up a chair and onto the top of a bookshelf with effortless grace, then sat down to behold the splendid view. I'd discovered quite a few elevated spaces eager to be explored. The humonoids seemed uninterested, only paying these untrodden spaces any mind when I chose to investigate.
"That's just a thing you do now," the long one remarked joylessly. "Great."
He eyed me from the lowly distance as I twitched my tail thoughtfully.
"Aziraphale won't like you up there, you know."
I know.

He wondered if perhaps the apocalypse had already taken place, and he was riding out the last waves of his consciousness into oblivion. What a terrible way to spend an eternity, he thought. If the world no longer existed, he should probably at least be made aware. And if it did exist, with everyone trudging along through their meaningless lives much the same as before, then he ought to at least let Nina know that her advice was awful before everything came to an end.

Crowley sat on his bed watching Pride and Prejudice for the 5th time. This bed was his new home. His life raft. "Oh Darcy, you idiot!" He barked at the tv, "Can't you see you're in love?!"
The phone rang. He considered it might be any number of Dukes, minions, or underlings of hell, and eventually settled on answering it as a phone call was still better than a visit.
"Crowley here, in service of the dark lord Shax and Satan our master, how may I help you?"
"Crowley, It's me." He was sure his heart skipped a beat at the sound of Aziraphale's voice.
No answer. "Crowley, are you there? I need to see you."
"...yes. How did you know I'd be here?"
"There are only so many places you'd be."
"There are plenty of places I could be. Loads. Oodles of places."
"...will you come to the bookshop?"
"Yes, I'm coming..."

What's a demon to do when he suddenly has a Vulcan sitting on his shoulder who won't stop commenting on his behavior being illogical?
“No. No. Nononono! Angel, you must see him, don’t you? He’s been living there for two centuries, commenting on every action I take or don’t take that would result in harm.”
Aziraphale pondered this for a moment before replying, “Are you saying that She gave you a conscience?”
Spock piped up at that, “Not quite, Aziraphale. But that is a logical conclusion to draw given the limited set of information you have been given.”
Aziraphale jumped in his seat, startled that he could suddenly see what he had thought was a figment of Crowley’s vast imagination. Then he cleared his throat and clasped his hands together.
“Why hello there. It seems I am at a disadvantage, how would you like to be addressed?”
