Summary
Aziraphale steps onto the Metatron elevator with a cup of coffee in his hand, convinced that everything can still be fixed. Heaven speaks of forgiveness as a reward. Aziraphale soon discovers that it is a much more.
Months pass — or maybe centuries, but with more caffeine. On Earth, Crowley survives as all tragic creatures do. Drinking illegal amounts of coffee, insulting innocent plants, and parking his Bentley in front of Nina's place. Nina stops asking him if he wants “the usual” after the third week, because Crowley’s usual now is “Something strong enough to kill an archangel.”
Then Aziraphale comes back but smiles too much. He speaks as if reading from a script. He asks absurd questions about Crowley's wings—how much they hurt, how often they shed, whether he still remembers the Fall—and disappears before explaining.
Crowley begins to understand that Heaven's “forgiveness” was not free. Something was taken from Aziraphale up there. What exactly did they take? Memory? Freedom?... Love?
Can a coffee reveal the truth and bring Aziraphale back into Crowley's arms, or show what Heaven has taken from him?
What if love could be rediscovered, one sip at a time?

That is until Aziraphale comes back from Scotland and announces out of the blue that he’s engaged to be married and asks Crowley to be his best man slash maid of honour.Among traitorous kilts, feral godmothers, angelic baby goats, and unnervingly perfect fiancés, the very real prospect of Aziraphale’s happiness not including him forces Crowley to reckon with some pretty hard truths he’s been ignoring all his life.
Will he go along with the wedding and carry out his duties as MOH? Or is he brave enough to go after Aziraphale and show him that their happiness is one and the same? And what if it’s too little too late? -

Et c'est drôle, et gnagnagna, et gnagnagna… Oh, et, pour être honnête, étant athée, je n'ai que des notions réduites, ou du moins basiques, de la religion chrétienne. Et encore une chose, j'apporte ma propre personnalité dans les leurs, bien que j'essaye vraiment d'être pertinent.e. Et je fais des monologues entre eux, basés sur mes propres analyses de leur relation, de la série, tout ça. Herein lies my depiction of how the Second Coming is not going to go.
THIS STORY IS NOT FINISHED and probably never will be, but I'm really proud of the 39-ish chapters that exist, and chapter 19 has instructions on how to fold a fitted sheet (yes, really!), so I want it to see the light of day. At some point, I will at least post a SUMMARY of the intended ending.

Crowley clenched his teeth. Supreme Archangel Aziraphale was every bit as much of a prisoner as Principality Aziraphale had ever been. Possibly even more so. “Not going how you expected, then.”
“I have made changes, Crowley.”
“What, more tartan?”
“Non-superficial changes.”
“...What’s in the briefcase?”
“...Information,” Aziraphale answered. “You might find it useful.” He was barely even pretending to read his paper, just staring at it. Frowning. His entire body was stiff and tense.
“...Information, about what?”
“The Second Coming.”

Aziraphale was gone. Just. Gone. After 6000, you get used to having someone around you, with you.
Change is hard on everybody, you know? So when the guy you've been friends with since the dawn of creation, who you also may or may not be in love with, who you're extremely fucking furious at, who you actually maybe deep deep down don't hate as much as you tell everyone, disappears, it's going to be hard to wrap your head around the fact you're never going to see him again.
Well, if he actually stayed away, that is.
OR: Crowley goes to America to kill himself after the events of S2 only to end up as the prime suspect in the LAPD's investigation of the murder of Harriet and Thaddeus Dowling.

'“Alright,” he breathes darkly, leaning back into the leather seat. “We can talk now?”
“Uh. Yeah.” Aziraphale's glance flickers over him and he feels it like a flashlight in the dark. “I’m grounded, supposedly. Or, uh, ungrounded, technically. Firmly advised to stay in Heaven.”
He can't help the grin that steals onto his lips at the way Aziraphale's mouth twists into that familiar peeved line. “Ungrounded, Angel? Whatever did you–” He blanches. Oh shit. “They didn't…see us…did they?”
“Uh no, no they didn't,” Aziraphale mumbles, then glances up at him.'

He found his voice again. "What are you doing here?"
"Right," Aziraphale said. "Um..." His eyes went unfocused, and he wobbled. Crowley found himself, despite his utter shock at the situation, beginning to worry.
"Aziraphale, what happened to you?"
"What do you mean?"
"You're bleeding."
"I'm what?" Aziraphale reached up and touched the side of his head, eyes widening in surprise at the blood that smeared his fingertips. "Oh. So I am."
"What are you--?"
"Listen," Aziraphale said, "I'm terribly sorry to do this, because I know we aren't talking, but there's something I need to ask of you."
Crowley nodded slowly, his worry growing the more unfocused the angel's eyes became. "And what's that?"

Summary
Crowley and Aziraphale just broke up. Some time passed before they met again, but in the middle the Second Coming is... well, coming. Aziraphale is now the Supreme Archangel, and Metatron is convinced he doesn't want to see Crowley again. So, the angel and the demon have to find a way to figure out their feelings and the next Apocalypse.
But things are very different from the last time: not only Metatron is involved, but even Satan himself. We will learn a lot about the Fall of Crowley and his past as an angel, a scar that is still hurting him. New Supreme Archangel's power will scare Aziraphale. And the ineffable husbands will have to grow up another supernatural Son of God while they try to manage all the rest. Will they succeed?
