Summary
Domestic bliss at Song Lan and Xiao Xingchen's Qingfeng Pavilion doesn't last long as a stranger appears one day at their gate. What's his connection to the older Daozhang?

“Xiao Daozhang, are you alright?” A young boy asked as he hurried up to the Daozhang in white.
“Huh? O-oh! Sizhui, yes, I’m er...I might have sprained my back last night.”
“Oh dear! Would you like me to go and fetch a doctor?”
“No, no, that’s not necessary. I’m sure it’ll get better once I walk around a bit,” Xiao Xingchen chuckled, cheeks red with embarrassment.
“I can help you massage it a bit, if you’d like? Jingyi sometimes asks me to give him massages when he’s trained too hard during the day.”
Smiling fondly at the young boy, Xingchen shook his head.

Summary
Chun Xiang sighed quietly as she sat in the courtyard, gently rocking the baby in her arms. The breeze rustled the leaves in the trees and she smiled, looking up when a pair of swallows fluttered past, chirping as they chased and played in the sky. She could still hardly believe that this was now her life. No more waiting on customers, no more dealing with drunken men, no more scraping together savings for the madame every month, no more worrying every night about possibly becoming infected by an incurable illness that would take her from her son. Sometimes she still heard the rowdy noises of the brothel, still smelled the heavy scent of floral perfumes, but she would always wake to find herself surrounded by calmness, accompanied by the fresh air of the mountains that was so scarce in the town.
Like others, Chun Xiang knew of cultivators. They would sometimes come into town, and a few would even visit the brothel. She knew what they were capable of, knew of the larger sects, but their way of life seemed so distant from her, and so rarely crossed her path, that she never thought too much about it. Now she found herself surrounded by cultivators everyday.

Summary
A-Hui was born on the streets of a small town. He had some vague memories of his siblings and mother, but they were blurry and difficult to recall. He did, however, remember the sounds of other cats in the neighbourhood, hissing, fighting, growling as they fought for territory and mates, his mother fighting back to defend herself and her precious little bundles. A-Hui didn’t know when or why but one day, his mother simply disappeared leaving him huddled by the side of a building, mewling for attention. He had been hungry and scared, all alone in a big world where no one cared for a ball of fur, desperate for help. Luckily...fate stepped in…

Summary
Fluffy, cute fics for our two favourite Daozhang because my heart hurt too much after watching the Yi City arc. Mostly fluff, some smut, and just a pinch of angst to drive plot, but always with a happy ending. Not technically an AU since it takes place in the CQL world but Songxiao focused and no one dies (except XY).
The fics start out as standalone but then they start interconnecting at around story #8 (A Meeting of New Friends). The series technically finishes at part 46 with the wedding although I do plan to keep writing short, fluffy post-marriage stories, but the main over-reaching arc with all the angst and drama ends at part 46.
