Summary
Izuku has plans for everything.
He plans out what to say to the cashier when ordering coffee, he plans out his homework before even opening his textbook. He has a whole ten-year plan for how he’s going to get into UA’s hero course and get his hero license fully quirkless. He plans for every wild, unlikely scenario he can think of because his anxiety gets so bad if he doesn’t go through every possible outcome, every way his life could landslide into disaster–– but Izuku never planned for this.
For once, he doesn’t have a plan and he doesn’t have time to think of one. All he can see is Yagi-san’s lined, kind face looking resigned as he stares down the villain in his shop. Yagi-san, who is the closest thing to a father figure Izuku has ever had.
Izuku doesn’t think. He just moves.
(Or: Izuku saves the number one hero, gets a hero license way earlier than anyone wanted, realizes that maybe hero society isn’t as great as he thought it was, and everything just kind of falls apart from there.)

Kacchan pulls the bathroom door shut behind him roughly. When he doesn’t come back in after a few seconds Izuku's eyes dart between the closed door and his bleeding hand a few times.
So... does Izuku just...take it out?
"Do NOT," he hears as soon as he starts reaching for the knife, "touch! The fucking knife!"
Izuku does not touch the fucking knife.

5 times Izuku tries to brush aside or take care of an injury on his own and Kacchan helps him, +1 time where Izuku leans on Kacchan's shoulder before he can get hurt.
(Or five times Katuski almost has an Deku-induced aneurysm and one time they're both okay thank fucking god)

He rose his fist and knocked quietly, not wanting to disturb their neighbors. "Hello?" He called out, his voice soft and gentle. "Are you still awake? I hope I'm not disturbing you."
There was a moment of silence before Tanjirou heard muffled voices through the door, quiet whispers that he couldn't quite understand. He began to wonder if they hadn't heard him, lifting his fist to knock again, before the door suddenly swung open and revealed a young blond-haired male dressed in a baggy white sweater.
"...Yes?" The blond asked, his sweater zipped up to his chin, hiding most of the bottom of his face. He sounded timid and slightly scared, his honey-colored eyes staring expectantly up at Tanjirou.
Tanjirou blinked in surprise. He hadn't expected his upstairs neighbor to be so cute.
"Oh, uhm, right. Hello, I'm so sorry to disturb you. But I heard some noises a little while ago, coming from your apartment. I'm your downstairs neighbor, by the way. I was just wondering if everything was okay? It got me a little concerned, and... I..." He trailed off, his eyes traveling across the blond's face and landing on a painful looking bruise on his cheek. Now that was definitely worrisome.

Peeling skin, black sillouhettes, and grating screams that froze him in place where only a part of it. Their words and dark hymns followed him, crushing his body and soul.
But not as much as his mother did. Inko was prone to using her fists and venomous words to beat him down, and she was worse than the demons who followed him day and night.
"God does not shine upon you,"
The demons repeated it like a mantra, and they were all right. God hated them all, the fallen wingless angels who he damned for eternity. He loathed Izuku too, the boy who could see them. Izuku was cursed with an uncontrollable Quirk, but he tamed those demons. They were his, and his alone.
God sneered at him, and he smiled devilishly back. God had given the demons exactly what they needed...
Izuku Midoriya. A King.
