With his soul in the dream world, if he died here, or if the crow got to him, he was done for. The crow had to be it—the monster plaguing his every sleeping moment. It was the only constant in his dreams. No matter what kind of nightmare was in store for him, it was always there, the crow with the pink eyes. Whatever it was—whoever it was, Ekko had one chance to end it all.
He took in a breath and snapped his fingers right as the crow's beak touched the tip of his nose, the final syllable of his spell leaving his lips just in time. The crow collapsed into the nest in front of him. For a second, Ekko thought it was just dead, but then its form began shedding its feathers and its skin in a uniquely grotesque way as it cried out in pain, wings twitching. It writhed on the ground until it was a naked bird, limp and lifeless. From the blood and guts of the crow emerged a woman, clawing her way out of its skin with long, sharp nails and her face fixed into a snarl, displaying a shiny set of sharp teeth.

“I know.”
Jinx deflated, shrinking in on herself. “I don’t know how to be your friend, Ekko.”
Ekko smiled, shrugging it off. “Well, I’ve never been friends with a vampire before. I guess we’ll both have to figure it out as we go.”
Or
Ekko goes against everything he knows to save a vampire and ends up changing his life in ways he never could’ve imagined, giving him a love that lives on for eternity.

She let her arm flop out beside her, fingers brushing the edge of the mattress. “It’s loud,” she muttered. Not accusatory. Just a shade too tired. Honest. “In here.” She tapped the side of her temple with a knuckle. “Thought maybe if you kept looking, it’d drown it out.”
There was a pause, too long, the room going quiet like the words had knocked something so loose inside him that he couldn’t make his lungs work. Ekko sat back a little in the chair, like he wasn’t sure whether to move closer or bolt.
“Not really how that works,” he said finally. Quiet, but not unkind.
“I know.” Her voice cracked just a little. She closed her eyes. “Still.”

To add insult to Ekko’s mortifying injury, rose petals sat arranged in a heart in the middle of the mattress, and he was pretty sure that was a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket with two glasses on the desk in the back corner.
She hummed, and Ekko couldn’t read the tone. Somewhere between surprise and dissatisfaction.
“I’m sure,” she said slowly.

All that mattered now was her."With Noxus on its way to wage war against the sister cities, it's up to Jinx and Ekko to rally the Undercity together and get ready to join the fight. But there is so much to do, so little time. And yet... maybe, among the chaos of the oncoming storm, they'll find the time and will to pick up the pieces of what they once were. Only to find that she’s not alone when adorable gold eyes peered from behind a wary Jinx.She didn’t know what to make of Ekko but his words resonated deep within her. She wants to be deserving of Isha’s love. . . and maybe, down the road, his as well. She can only hope that she doesn’t jinx it.
In a whirlwind of events, Ekko and Jinx forge their own path to building something new in the wasteland they call home.
