Summary
When Martin wakes, the first thing he feels is the warmth.
His body barely remembers what it's like; the sensation is toeing the line of simply feeling strange to him. Martin closes his eyes, and gives himself a moment to indulgently take it all in: how deeply the warmth seeped into him; how much of it there is just inside his own body; how much of it radiates from the still-asleep Jon.
God, Jon.
Martin's heart still doesn't seem fully equipped to handle this new reality he was thrust into the previous day, acting like it's teetering on the verge of palpitations - the reality in which he was torn out of the Lonely's grasp, in which his life was stubbornly pushed back into his hands. The reality in which he and Jon finally get to simply be together - to hold each other, to kiss, to say 'I love you'. The reality in which they ran away and ended up here.

"A witch, yes. But I'm a good witch, promise." He hopes his smile reaches his voice.
"...Huh." Tim sounds unconvinced.

Summary
The fog comes back.
Nothing else has found its way into their safe little haven yet, but the fog does, creeping through the cracks of their cabin, blanketing them in thick, heavy billows.
Jon is there every time, he's there to pull Martin back when he gets lost, bleary eyes and hands so transparent Jon's fingers glide right through when he reaches for them.
"Martin", he says, forcing a shaky smile on his lips as he tries to hold onto the warmth Martin's name elicits in him. "Martin? Come on. Come back to me."
"Jon?" His name echoes, the mist thickening.
"Yes", Jon says emphatically. "I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere without you. You're not alone anymore, Martin, remember?"
Martin blinks, something sparking up in his eyes, but the cold fog sets heavily around them, blurring Jon's vision.
"No!" Jon reaches out, won't let himself lose sight of Martin ever again, he won't let him slip away. "No, you can't have him!" he yells into the cold white all around. "He's not yours to claim!"

Or, the one where Jon and Martin try to find what happiness they can, despite the Lonely looming, the Eye watching, and their own doubts weighing them down.

Martin hates feeling like this. He hates feeling like a burden, like he's taking up space he hasn't earned. He's built his entire person around being helpful, being useful, if nothing else, and this paralysing sense of apathy is- it's almost worse than the strings of loneliness still threaded through his veins.
There's nothing left to lose once he's all alone, nothing left to mess up. No one to disappoint.

He put his forehead against the desk and let out a loud groan, he was such a loser. Couldn’t even remember his last interaction that wasn’t with his supernatural boss. He liked that he was more embarrassed than hurt by this, the embarrassment shooed away the worry of no one by his side. He turned his head, and let his fingers gently graze the desk, his fingertips following the wooden edge. Crap, he should check up on his mum. He hadn’t called her in some time. He thought about doing it but every time he’d remember, he’d be in his office and he couldn’t call her during work. Every time, he'd tell himself to call her later but then he’d just promptly collapse every time he got home.
His fingers found the handle of one of the drawers. The box cutter was sitting there, he remembered. The thought that he probably wouldn’t see anyone else for some time interrupted his worries over his mum. He gripped the handle and opened the drawer, sitting upright as he did so. Gosh, he was bored.
