But he can't do that anymore. So he watches Jon storm down the hall to the archives, without so much as sparing Martin a glance.

Martin turns bright red.
Jon is an exhausted pre-med student dragged to a party, where he meets Martin Blackwood, a poetry major who turns out to be excellent at drunken cuddling. It would be perfect—if Jon hadn’t caught him making out with Tim, that is. Chaos, idiocy, and polyamorous pining ensue.

Checking the door for errant students one last time, Martin types into the search bar, “what to do if you see your friend on a dating app?” Surely Jon counts as a friend? He’s almost pleasant to him when they end up in faculty meetings together. Google insists it’s perfectly normal and, in fact, funny to swipe right on a friend. Besides the worst case scenario is they don’t match and Jon never finds out. He swipes right. A huge heart bubbles up on screen, squishing together their two profile pictures. Fuck.

Archives staff team are all University English professors and Martin matches with Jon on a dating app. Anxiety and a date ensue.
