Summary
Jihoon whips his gaze up, realisation harsh and disbelieving in his face.
“Wait...You know him?”
Mingyu grins coolly.
“Yeah. That’s Choi Seungcheol. He’s the president of the fraternity I’m rushing for—”
Jihoon’s mouth drops open, and he is speechless for a moment, mind racing with the implications of this. Somehow it feels even worse that his roommate knows the guy; he would never have drooled over him out loud if he had known that.
“You... you’re not gonna tell him, are you? About what I said.”
Mingyu tilts his head, his eyes softening.
“That you want to jump his bones? No, of course not. This stays between me and you. I promise.” He smiles, all gentle reassurance, before he twists in his seat and cups his hands around his mouth and hollers, “Yo Choi! Get over here man! I got something to tell ya!”

“Hyung,” he calls, voice lighter now. “Come here.”
Minho steps closer, his gaze flicking between Jisung’s face and the oranges hanging from the branches. Jisung rolls one gently in the palm of his hand before he lets it go.
“You don’t just grab the first one you see,” he says, his voice soft. “You want to look for the ones that feel heavy for their size. That means they’re juicy. See this? The skin should be firm but not too tough. A little bit of give when you press it—” He presses his thumb against the surface, demonstrating. “That’s how you know it’s good.”
Minho hums, thoughtful, then plucks an orange from the branch, testing it the way Jisung showed him. His fingers press into the peel just slightly, and he nods, satisfied. “Like this?”
Jisung glances at it, then at Minho, and something warm unfurls in his chest— small, quiet, but persistent. “Yeah,” he says, smiling. “Exactly like that.”

Summary
A bright projectile bursts forth from the sunrise, a saucer or maybe a plane. It arches high through the sky before spinning down, crashing straight into the turnip fields.
The hills shudder. All the world lulls into a hush. Then, the thing bursts into flames.
“The turnips need some work,” Seungcheol decides, dropping his notepad and sprinting down the hills.

Wonwoo crashes his villain mobile into Seungcheol's turnip farm. Neither of them is what the other expected.

“Shh!” Jihoon says, which just makes Mingyu laugh again as he flops down onto the carpet next to him.
“Do they teach you how to do that in library school?” he whispers, loudly, leaning conspiratorially towards Jihoon. Jihoon just rolls his eyes.
“Yeah, there’s a whole course on shush-ing,” he says, shoving a book onto his cart and crossing it off the list in his lap. Mingyu giggles. Honest-to-god giggles, like a happy baby. Jihoon suddenly feels very hot all over his body.
“You’ll get an A,” Mingyu says.

Jihoon is a librarian who loves peace and quiet. Mingyu is a hockey player who loves his best friends and won't stop snacking in the library.
