Summary
Everyone in Baltimore believes Hannibal Lecter is a grieving widower, a tragic figure hosting lavish dinner parties in quiet devotion to his lost wife.
In reality, Hannibal is far too consumed by his own theatrics to correct them—too busy pining over his estranged husband, Will Graham, who is very much alive and deeply annoyed. Will, for his part, just wants Hannibal to sign the damn divorce papers… or so he keeps telling himself.
As misunderstandings spiral and unspoken feelings fester, Alana and the others remain oblivious to the truth: the greatest love story in Hannibal’s life isn’t one of death and longing, but of stubborn exes locked in a battle of wills neither truly wants to win.

After years of trying to deal with others' cooking, Will has resigned himself to a life of anonymous fast food and frozen dinners — things that don't trigger his empathy.
But when a new doctor shows up and insists on feeding him, Will's palate will be challenged for the first time in years.
Basically: Will can taste feelings, and Hannibal's got some "crème fraîche" he'd like Will to try...
