Megumi nods. He wills his face into an impassive mask.
“But-”
“You said you can’t sleep unless you’re holding onto something right?” Megumi grits out. “But there’s nothing in here you can cling to. So just hold onto my arm and go to sleep,”
Itadori frowns, the smallest wrinkle forming between his brows. It makes his already tired face look even more exhausted. He’s always like this, Megumi can’t help but think. Constantly worrying about other people. Maybe he should worry about himself more for a change.
Megumi's a light sleeper, and Yuuji needs something to hold.

He bit his lip, forcing it down. Wiping his tingling palms on his jeans, Yuji waited until he was sure the boy would see him, and then threw one hand in the air. He gathered his last scrap of courage, chewed it like bubblegum, and with a final prayer, burst the bubble.
"Fushiguro!"
Yuji flashed him a crooked smile, hoping he wouldn't notice the bead of sweat sliding down his temple.
Fushiguro paused, lifting his head to meet Yuji's gaze through a pair of horn-rimmed glasses.
"Itadori?"
The boy from Yuji's most pathetic dreams: Fushiguro Megumi.
Or, Yuji is a high school student by day, a part-time superhero at night, and a fully employed fool. Thankfully, Megumi had always liked that side of him.

Suguru kept up the same pretense, acting like he was just as good as they were, like he hadn’t run his tongue over the roof of his mouth all night, relishing in the deliciously blank taste of nothing, nothing, nothing.
