“Wait–” Rumi has the tip of her glowing weapon to the intruder’s neck the moment their mouth opens. She narrowed her eyes, unable to identify them as the fairy lights are near her bed, and the light isn’t great around her desk, as the actual lights in her room were off. Only the fairy lights are on, and outlined the intruder's silhouette.
“Rumi?” It’s a whisper. Words that meant the most were always whispered. Rumi wavered at the voice, eyes scanning their face. She stares into their eyes. They’re dark brown, but have amber flecks in them.
“Familiar.” She thinks, and even the nose looks like something she’s seen before. Someone she’s seen before. Their face structure is sharp. Again, it's familiar. She recognizes him the moment his mouth opens.
“I’m a little hurt it took you more than ten seconds to realize who I was,” Jinu’s voice is playful “But I’ll let it slide.”

Jinu returns, trying to heal himself after years of misery and regret. And he thinks Rumi can help him. But she's in denial for her growing feelings for him. Because, isn't she always?

Almost.
Is a very important word. Without it, the meaning of the sentence would change completely. Maybe that is what we are all thinking. In the end, it doesn't really matter how a sentence is formed. You could pick and pull apart any arrangement, and it won't ever change the original intent. That is a truth that stays in one's own head, a truth that can’t be fixed and a truth they never want to face.We’re almost there.
We almost made it.
Someone can always be someone else’s almost.
Just like he was almost hers….

As much as his mother tried to make amends and justify her actions, Thomas just couldn’t understand what her reasons were.
So, as an act of selfishness and revenge of some sorts, he decides to elicit his own affair with her new partner’s nephew.
