He can hear Akaashi sigh on the other side of the couch. Saying he looks like he’s suffering might be an understatement. Tetsurou thinks he’s probably questioning his life choices right now and that makes him grin. Kenma has given up on paying attention already, cellphone in his hand and playing some game.
“Next time we’ll make a drinking game out of this. It will be brilliant. I have approximately one thousand ideas.”
“Splendid, Bokuto," Akaashi murmurs.
"Please don’t invite us,” Kenma says without taking his eyes off his phone.

He's been doing better lately, though it's still not easy. The whole volleyball thing - if people ask, he says he's fine, but... obviously he isn't. And then there's the living with your childhood best friend/pillar/crush thing, which overall is pretty great, except that it's not great at all, it's like a roller coaster ride with one too many loops; stressful as hell and really bad for Oikawa's heart rate.

Asahi wants the earth to swallow him whole when he accidentally crashes into tiny Nishinoya Yuu while riding his bike. He remains unsure of his stance on disappearing off the face of the planet after Noya asks him out on a date. But with the (somewhat aggressive) encouragement of his best friends/roommates, Asahi takes one small step forward, and soon finds himself doing a lot less hiding and a lot more living than he ever thought he could.

“Do you think you could find it? You know...better than you had it?” Bokuto asked cautiously, and even if Oikawa didn’t have the guts to turn around and look at him, he still could picture his lost expression, with his big owl eyes still roving like boiling honey running down his spine.
Oikawa dropped his eyes down to the floor and sighed, his back still turned to him. “I’m not sure if I truly want to find it out,” he said in a whisper of a voice.
In which Oikawa misses Iwaizumi, Bokuto misses Akaashi and the universe decided it was a funny idea putting the two lonely souls in college together. Spoiler alert: the idea wasn’t actually funny, but it turned out it was so many other things instead.
(A - slightly too long and maybe too painful - prequel to Golden).
