When the team rescues an orphaned baby girl from a destroyed village, she attaches herself to Rodney McKay and refuses to cooperate with anyone else. Suddenly Rodney finds himself responsible for the care and maintenance of the little thing.
All she needs is food, sleep, clean diapers and an occasional cuddle, though. Perfectly doable.
Besides, she's small and relatively stationary and therefore unlikely to touch things she's not supposed to touch so he can just bring her to work with him.And it's just until they find her a family. Right?

“Why not just, y’know…?” Crowley held up his hand and pantomimed a snap. “Good as new, none of this faffing about.”
