Summary
Miyuki Yamamoto was your average fifteen-year-old girl living in Japan during WWII. She lived with her parents and her two siblings in one of the districts of Hiroshima City and was a junior high student. Later, a nuclear bomb dropped on her city, which caused her relatives (especially her mother) to perish in the aftermath of the explosion. Miyuki, however, survives the blast. The story follows Miyuki’s journey across the city in search of an old friend named Akira, who is Miyuki’s best hope for survival.
